General Meaning
The King of Cups is the master of the emotional realm — not by suppressing feeling, but by holding it in conscious, disciplined awareness. He represents the stage where feeling and will are no longer at war. He has been flooded by feeling, overwhelmed by compassion, pulled under by the tides of his own heart, and he has emerged buoyant.
In readings, the King appears when called to embody the calm, wise leader — the one who can hold steady while others lose composure, who can feel deeply and choose wisely. His wisdom is not academic; it is earned through real emotional experience.
